I’d like to say today past in a drunken blur, but given I didn’t drink today, it was more of just a blur. I slept in far too much. James’s house is proper solid Canadian fare – situated right beside a huge frozen lake and surrounded by trees, but it’s miles from anywhere – so it kind of forces me to GET ON WITH EDITING MY PODCASTS. Although, you and I both know that procrastination is my special X-men like power, so you can probably guess how much I actually got done. Sorry, Dino.
Anyways, it looks like I should be in Liverpool for 19th April, so that should be a good night out followed by a crazy 24 hour tour of the UK the day after, so make sure you’re there.
That night I went for a few drinks in the Elephant and Castle (yes there is one here too) and watched a few bands with James and a couple of his mates. Funnily enough, a load of people there were at the house party earlier in the week. Halifax is a rather small, albeit frozen, pond.

Sent a message via “contact” that you will read eventually but wanted to sent a comment here to feed you some inspiration. Was very happy to see you and Captain Johnny successfully navigated the risks in the crossing–and I’m not just talking about winds and sharks. You mentioned you would fill your readers in on the Cuba details after you were safely out of U.S. turf. I am so amazed you are able to extract a modicum of composure and discipline yourself to writing the daily updates and shooting videos while dealing with the stress of travel, deadlines, and etc. Your “helping dad in the basement” flashback during the sail had me in stitches, mainly coz I’ve been there. You are very brave to be so honest, and there is so much power in genuineness. You have quite a talent for writing, I especially love your stream-of consciousness cursing, your use of history and pop culture in your metaphors, and your dramatic scenic visuals (“cackling witches in the heavens”) Am rooting for you all the way, and thanks for the “legend” tag and the plug for my Cuba Information Manual re my assistance during your OFAC-supplied crisis in Key West. -Michael Bellows
