Day 162: Ploughing On

Was hoping for some good news today, but got none. The Micau is actually going to leave Sal and come here to Santiago, which saves me a trip, but also means it’s going to take longer to leave the islands – it may not leave now until Sunday. Gutted, but ploughing on regardless, I managed (with the help of Mito and Maria) to get my stuff back (except for my passport) which meant at last that I could use my mobile phone.

I wasted away the day writing up my blogs. I have taken to hanging out at Café Sophia, a cybercafé with outside seating and parasols. It’s quite cool – loads of locals who saw me on the news keep coming over and asking me about my adventures.
